| As a new generation of German historians has established, the main motivation for the acts of Nazi Germany was not a racial one, but economy (money, as usual). The German industry financed Hitler into power and richest German families profited greatly from the war and the Holocaust. The 100 richest families of the Germany of today are the same as they were then. They wanted a closed and subsidized market and cheap slave labour force from the East. The mighty German industry got all this for free now: it is called EU. The EU is a giant anti-democratic institution which throws for instance heavily subsidized products on the African market so that the African farmers are unable to sell their products, contributing to famines and misery. And when people have no oil to sell, they may starve by the thousands like in Darfur, where the rich EU is standing idly by. |
