| The reason that it is Israel that retaliates is; In 1948 Israel accepted the UN partition plan but Arabs response was to destroy it. In 1967 Arabs tried to make good on their wish to destroy Israel and lost the war. In 1979 Israel agreed to give Sinai back to Egypt in exchange of recognition and peace. In 2000 Israel accepted the Clinton plan to establish a Palestinian Arab state in 96% of WB, all of Gaza plus some Israeli land with the capitol in East Jerusalem and Arabs again choose violence against that offer while Israel accepted it. Since it is the Palestinian Arabs who always reject peace offers from Israel and start a new intifada they are the attackers and Israel is the defender. |
