For a democratic country, we are remarkably averse to holding elections, perhaps because they take so long. Barak can of course choose to stay in government, but it will cost him dearly when the elections do finally materialize. Just as Sderot residents will not be flocking to vote for Olmert, so too, Labor supporters with even a minimal memory will not forget having being lied to by Barak. It`s his choice - integrity now, or risk losing voters in the future.
