what they think?
Last week I read of Polish-Jewish, Januz Korczak, children`s writer and educator who chose to remain with the 200 orphans who were in his care. With dignity he accompanied them to the cattle railway trucks which transported them to the Treblinka extermination camp.
Januz Korczak gave children a voice, and treated them as individual beings. While the organizers of such parades may do it in good faith, I don`t think Januz Korczak would agree with it. He most certainly would not agree with the suffering of all children caught up in war today.
Korczak died in the Holocaust, but I believe his love and dedication lives on. Please read about him. |
