| I am continuously impressed by the intelligence, thoughtfulness, and bravery of the German people. While Turkey continues to deny its genocide of the Armenians, Australians their crimes against the Aborigines, Americans the wholesale massacre of Native-Americans, and while Arab states continue to minimize and ignore the genocide by Sudan in Darfur, the Germans remind the world that a nation can come to terms with its most heinous crimes. And Germany, unlike the rest of the international community, is working to make sure it never happens again, by taking a strong stand against the Iranian fanatics. |
