| Anyone who knows anything about Mexican culture knows about the Day of the Dead celebration....but they are celebrating ordinary dead people...not people chosen for ethnic cleansing which was carried out in such a brutal methodical way. Let the people in Rio dance their hearts out but not around the depiction of dead Jews who suffered at the hand of the Nazi`s. There is a point where one has to draw a line in the sand between morality and frivolity and in this case the line has to be drawn. There are still many people alive who suffered in the camps and it is painful to see their loved ones depicted in such an outrageous way. What is going to come next...we already have Holocaust deniers...now we have revelers dancing on the memory of the brutalized. |
