Iran is large, but it`s industrial base is not. It`s weapons capabilities are also greatly exaggerated. I believe Iran as a Modern Country can be crippled by conventional means, I also believe that if Israel did need to engage portions of its nuclear arsenal, as America did, it would not "poison the planet" as you think. I don`t think Israel would use Cobalt bombs, but more modern enhanced radiation weapons with shorter half-lives, except for maybe a few "Examples".
I am sure many Moslems the world over would riot waving swords and smiting infidels as is their custom, but I am sure we would survive. I would rather fight them now, while we have the upper hand instead of waiting for one of their backwater theocracies to acquire nuclear weapons or wait for one of your secular peace loving cold war repositories to fall to their rule. My ammunition is ready to shuffle them off to "Paradise" as the need may arise, along with any "Allies" they might think they have in the wars to come. |
