| "Needless to say, you do not understand our culture, let alone our politics" Right to an extent, Tom. I was in America when the first debate between George W.Bush and Al Gore took place. Bush performed appallingly badly, yet was elected President. Then the US public compounded the error when they re-elected him, even when it was clear from his first term of office that he was a bozo. An American friend of mine tells me that the average American likes to pick someone for President who is as dumb as he is. |
