In 2000 and a couple years ago, the government wanted to perform autopsies in order to help understand how the Arabs died. Both times, the Arab-Israeli population screamed to prevent it. Why? Because they`re used to making claims without facts, since facts could prove them wrong.
They rioted in solidarity with Arafat`s resumption of violence. It was organized and timed to that effect. The undermanned police force had to keep themselves alive against a violent mob.
The odds are that autopsies would support the police story. Therefore autopsies were not allowed. |
