Title:The Holocaust is becoming just history.

I grew up in the 60s and 70s when the Holocaust was still very much a live issue. It was recent and shocking and people were still learning about it for the first time. It is now something that all western kids know about, and the facts are still unspeakably horrifying, but it is becoming history, as the last survivors die out. History is, sadly, full of horrors. Few are of the quite the same scale as the Holocaust, but they are horrifying enough. Like, for instance, the hundred thousand Brits killed in the battle of the Somme in 1916. Somehow people will have to come to terms with the Holocaust as history. However hard people try to make them, the next generation will not view the Holocaust with as much horror, because it just won`t be as close, as relevant. Other Holocausts sadly will happen, and other horrors which will be more relevant.
