| Shmi, I`m not sure you saw my earlier post on this topic; if so, please forgive me for prattling on. Israel is not "evil" - just badly misguided. I have met enough Israelis *and* Palestinians in my career to know the leadership on both sides often falls very short of the average person`s aspirations. Most people on one side really do not wish people on the other side harm; they want only to get on with life and family, without their leaders stirring up yet another conflict or moral outrage. I opine it is extremists pushing governments to extreme measures. No ordinary person in their right mind - Jew or Arab - would want to starve all Gaza into submission, or crash rockets onto the heads of innocent children in Sderot. Kind regards. MV |
