| I simply do not understand how a nation whose survival is dependent upon its ability to defend itself can focus on the issue of bereavement and from that make political judgement. It may sound hard hearted but soldiers who die in battle are an unaviodable consequence of the daily struggle for survival which Israel and Jews have had for thousands of years. All Jews should count themselves fortunate that they now have a means of self defence, which was historically never there before the state of Israels founding. Death comes to us all eventually but death with the dignity of self defence is something to be proud of. Those soldiesrs fell against Hezbollah and Hamas whose aim is to destroy Israel and as such they should be regarded only as heroes, nothing else. |
