Gideon, there is an international border at Israel`s northern frontier with Lebanon which must be respected by even Israel`s enemies, never mind its own citizens like you! If that border is not defended at whatever cost, then your home`s fence will be next.
It`s hard and damaging for any national army like the IDF to enter a significant war against well-armed guerilla fighters that are dug into the basements of family dwellings, who fire from the narrow alleys of dense residential areas, and who generally hide behind women`s skirts and children`s diapers, but are quick to cry foul when the physics of even one satellite-guided precision bomb causes the predictable collateral damage.
Yes, the IDF should have had in place an impassable electronic surveillance system on their northern border after their withdrawal that even logged insects the size of flies heading towards them, never mind full-grown Hezbollah terrorists hell-bent on murder and capture of body parts! |
