David, I agree with you that the Kassam attacks should be protested. However, whenever I read an article on the situation, it tends to focus mainly on the suffering of the Sderot residents, their trauma, their day-to-day anguish. Nothing is said of the Gazans. One article has mentioned that 12 inhabitants of Sderot have been killed in the past 6 years. How many Gazans have been killed in the past six years? Hundreds. The world is deeply sympathetic to the people of Sderot, who have the best-armed forces in the world to protect them and kill Arabs on an almost daily basis, including many civilian, children, women, despite all their assertions that they are "targeting only militants." They do need more target practice. And all the efforts have been futile. It is like cutting off Hydra heads. What is needed is for the stubborn government of Israel to talk to Hamas, even if they do not accept Israel. Remember, you negotiate for peace with enemies, not friends.
