| I have worked in Petra for 13 years and accidents like this are common among tourists, although deaths are rare. Tourists wander where they should not, and consider climbing on the ancient ruins fun (though often destructive and/or prohibited). Do not discuss this rare incident as a function of the Muslim-Jew conflict. That is easy, cheap and ignorant. |
