| Steve You will find no sympathy from me for the Palestinians suffering. This conflict has gone on for over 100 years. The palestinains have been calling for "death to the Jews" when the Yishuv was a fledgling community of people with no where to go trying to form their own community in the face of slaughter and genocide. The Palestinians are not victims, like a rape victim, as in your example. They are and have been willing participants in this conflict from the start. They are like the kid in the school yard looking for a fight and then running to the teacher when he gets a bloody nose. We all know that violence begets violence and bloodshed leads to bloodshed. And you are a liar if you deny that the Palestinians have not cold for blood from the outset. So if you want the fight, accept the possible results. If you want to live in peace, then live a peaceful life. "Peace is not the opposite of war any more then death is the opposite of life" Henry Miller once wrote. |
