| You got that right. From the very first minute I stepped off the plane coming into Israel on aliyah back in 1982, to the day I left back for the US early 1991, there was not one single day,so help me God, when I wasn`t either cheated, attempted to be cheated, or had to deal with the most cruel and destructive bureaucracy on the planet, the ISraeli bureaucrapcy. That I managed to remain nearly ten years, and just finally barely escaped with my bones barely intact, is a story that would take volumes. I am still a Zionist, but this kind of Israel is not the kind of Israel my ancestors waited 2000 years for. Somehow, it simply has to change. I wish I knew how to do it. |
