No, Mr. Gillerman, you did not hear Mr. Holmes describe the rockets as a humanitarian crisis. Could that be because, inhuman and traumatising as it is, it is not one? To suggest that Sderot is comparable to Gaza is ridiculous, and only the worst kind of anti-semite would do so.

Well, it`s a funny sort of leaving completely this: I seem to recall 40 Palestinians killed in Gaza, was that by the tooth fairy? And having left "completely" in Israeli government teminology means that you`re allowed to starve them to death?
Come on, Gillerman. You can maintain that Hamas has some of the blame for what has happened - the rockets are indefensible, albeit understandable - but when you pretend that this is anything but a humanitarian crisis you lose both your humanity and your cerdibility. |
