All this means that today Israel is facing a concerted effort by the Hamas to maintain the conflict for as long as there are Jews in the Land of Israel. It is this effort which is supported by a vast number of residents of Gaza, if not by a majority of those residents, which Israel is trying to stop.
So it is totally inaccurate to say that Israel is punishing the innocent. If those people think that what the Hammas is doing is wrong they can follow the leadership of the Fatah and take to the streets in protest. Instead what we see is support for the madnass of those who wish for the conflict to fester forever until such time as Isarel is no more. |
