Firstly I agree with you that Arabs in the land of Israel have as much right as any body to keep living where they are and to have full civil rights in some state. I also agree with you that settling Jews all over the palce where it becomes impossible for the Palestinians to have their state was and is a mistake. People have rights no matter what their origin is.
However today the fact is that a lot of Palestinians feel that Jews should not be any where in the land of Israel. A lot of them (not a tiny minority) feel that Israel should not exist and today it is impossible to distinguish between a Palestinian who is fighting to create an independent Palestinian state and one who is fighting to get rid of Israel.
In fact even the peace seeing Abbas keeps saying that he will not give up on the so called "right of return" of descendants of refugees into Israel which in essence means that the Jews of Israel will be at the mercy of a hostile Arab majority. |
