1) re: separate buses - while in south africa, this was part of apartheid, in south korea, separate subway cars for women are to protect them from gropers...
2) re: women voting - I think it was the open-minded Rav A.Y. Kook who wrote against women voting here in Israel.
3) re: sitting in back or front of bus - I don`t know why a mechitzah down the middle isn`t adequate...
4) re: supply/demand - it all comes down to the shekel. If egged will make money from the lines, they`ll continue, if not, they won`t and there will be private lines instead. Until the exact profit margin is clear to egged and the govt, the buck will pass in the courts... think about it. |
