| Rice keeps repeating her demands like a broken record. If Iran does everything the US demands from negotiations, before the US even starting negotiations, we`ll talk. Iran already did that. They stopped enrichment in 2002 and threw open their doors for expanded inspections above and beyond their obligation under the NPT. Bush/Rice told them to go suck an egg. That the US wouldn`t participate in talks. To quote Bush, Iran has figured out the old cliche: "fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, never gonna be fooled again." If Bush/Rice wants talks, start talking. Iran would be fools to repeat the same halt in enrichment they tried once already. In reality, Bush/Rice are giving up any chance in having any impact on US-Iranian relations by rejecting unconditional talks. All Iran has to do now is wait 10 months until the elections. Forget Bush/Rice. Those two are choosing to eliminate their own influence on US-Iranian negotiations by repeating this senseless mantra. |
