| This is why it`s hard to see the Israeli government as serious about peace. They`ve given this lot 6 months to move and ominously, it says the state may ask for an extension. Then, even if the settlers do move, they`re only going to be bribed to move to another West Bank settlement. If it was a Pal settlement they wanted to get rid of, the army would just confiscate the land for security reasons and drive a bulldozer through it. I wouldn`t mind Olmert and Barak getting tough with Hamas, if they showed any guts when it came to confronting the illegal settlers, but they`re just cowards. |
