| Israel needs to learn that it is not its eminent destiny to rule Palestinians. As all other countries in the world, it should tend to ITS borders (and maybe start by living within its borders). The border between Gaza and Egypt is the business of the Palestinians and Egyptians. Ultimately Israel will have to stop rulling the air and the seas. Palestinians want to be treated as all other people do: sovereign over their own state and land. Israel`s security concerns can be addressed with free and sovereign neighbors. People kept in a rat cage are unlikely to become pacifists. The sooner the occupation ends, the sooner the solution will be found. In the meantime, good for the Gazans to have staged a prison break. |
