When the left violates the law Haaretz is silent. Oslo was started by illegal secret negotiations with the PLO. The left used to have a illegal radio station "The Voice of Peace" that the right left unmolested.
Yet Haaretz supports the shutting down of Arutz Sheva even though it broadcasted from international waters. It supports arresting non violent activists who peacefully protest the misnamed peace process. It supports Btselem receiving its financial support and direction from hostile foreign governments. Haaret`s own editor calls on the US to "rape" Israel and force it into policies that her Jewish citizens oppose.
Haaretz supports rule of law, as long as the left is in power. I doubt when Likud and the right wins the next election you will demand obedience to the new elected government. |
