| Israel recently escalated attacks upon Gaza in order to stop the militant Qassam launches. This strategy backfired, as the militants let loose an unprecendented barrage which outlasted the Israeli attacks. Now, in a change of strategy, Israel would attempt to starve the people of Gaza in order to effect the militant Qassam launches. Early results indicate that this will have no effect upon the rockets. With all this senseless activity going on it is easy to forget that Hamas recently offered Israel a cease fire, but that Israel would not agree to this. Since Israel is currently pursuing only strategies which have been known to fail before, and is refusing to talk to Hamas, which has met with success before, it makes you wonder what Israels real agenda is. |
