Lakshmi, how is this siege any more morally monstrous than that of Sderot by the palestinians. Granted the scale may vary but the morals do not.
By the way do you think this siege is any more monstrous than the siege of Aceh? Sulawesi? Kashmir? the infidels of Saudi Arabia? the infidels of Iran? the Hazara of Afghanistan? the siege of Lebanese parliament by Hezbollah?
It could be argued that at least the Israeli siege is for a positive purpose (ie to encourage a cessation to fighting) as opposed to mere bigotry and/ or self grandizement. |
