Even if some US financing of the development is involved it is much cheaper than to develop the same saystem in USA and most likely the Rafael design will be more effective thean a design by Raytheon.Take for example the comparison of Patriot ant Scud missiles with Arrow System developed by rafael.The Patriots were shown to be 10% effective.The balance 90% was Raytheon and Pentagons PR aka cover up.The patriots fragments did more damage than the scuds during the Desrt Storm in 1991 when Patriots were used as a shiled against Scuds fired by Saddams Army.Arrow,designed by Rafael was shown to be 90% successfull.There is no 100% successful shield against Missiles and Rockets.Some will always come through.Furthermore,any anti rocket and missile design will be available for purchase by USA at reduced price.The revenues and profits from the sales of such systems will pay back the investment within 2 years.
