Mr Marcus should not quote things he saw on the rather daft "History" channel that seems to equate the history of humanity starting from WW2 and intersperses this creation myth with silly programmes about the Loch Ness monster and car crash test dummies.
Those people didn`t complain or "whine" about losing their loved ones in WW2 because the USA won. Simple as that. Nobody complains when they win. It`s when you lose that death in war stings. It`s when you can`t see the point in fighting anymore that losing people in war becomes a hell of a lot more traumatic. Don`t compare what happened in 2006 with WW2 you schmultz. Do you think the Germans would be so grevious or passive if they`d won WW2? Why do you think Japan trying to forget its past crimes is so damn worrying long-term? Get a life Marcus.
120 good guys lost their lives for no good reason. That is because the objectives of their mission were not accomplished. Which is not to say we should throw out the goverment either.
