| I think Yusef Shaheen Haj Yihyeh makes a point that cannot be denied. Hebrew and Arabic are both official languages of Israel. He has a right to speak in Arabic. Would it not be an advantage for Jewish Israelis to understand Arab Israelis? Cannot it be a put to use as a defense? Knowledge of more than one language enhances mental processes and logical thinking. It would also help society if people understood each other. Here in Canada, we have similar language issues. English Canada is very proud of its inability to speak more than one language. French Canadians are justifiably angry. |
