Come now, Barak. Stop playing this child`s game with the noble readers of Haaretz. If a peace treaty is not achieved in 2008, at least 50% of the responsibility for that failure will belong to Israel. I am not saying that the Pals are right and Israel is wrong. Nor will I say that Israel is right and the Pals wrong. I am saying that fault-finding is a useless, childlike enterprise that has no place in a genuine effort to achieve peace. I am saying that the fault for faliure will lie at both doors.
If you cannot admit your own responsibility, I suppose that makes you a good politician; but what you say isn`t worth your effort to say it. Stick to giving orders to the generals. They are not permitted to disagree with you. |
