| A peace which only consists of returning Syrian guns onto the Golan pointing down on the Israeli towns below is not worth 10 seconds of our time. Yet Assad is incapable of offering anything in the way of peaceful relations. A cold peace, (really a lack of military hostilities) with Egypt in Sinai is one thing. The same arrangement with Syria is a non-starter. |
