When will our Government in Israel realize that collective punishments of the people in Gaza in response to Kassams, Katyushas, etc.,have achieved LESS than nothing, as they only nourish the already existing hatred of Israelis there, as well as shocking both friends and enemies abroad?
Nor have the methods we have employed using our sophisticated equipment relieved the situation - on the contrary kassam attacks have multiplied, indicating failure.
Have any of our leaders considered simply using Hamas`s own method of attack? Each kassam falling in Israel will trigger in response one kassam (or equivalent) in return, to be aimed at approximate source of kassam. Only one! No more! A kassam for a kassam. That method would be a lot less expensive than methods used today, but will fill them with that same fear experienced by our Sderot residents etc. Justice will have been done. World opinion will not be against us. And perhaps - who knows - the end of Kassams will be achieved. |
