| Many Israelis do not think like this, and yet many do. Why? Well, Israeli Arabs are always in the news for demanding their "rights" but do not have to endure all the obligations Israeli Jews do. When your "fellow" Arab wants to kill you, you are the enemy, but Israeli Arabs can sit on the sidelines and get the best of both views- Israeli Jews can not afford that option. There is no sidelines for them. The myth of the stolen land from the "natives" perpetuates this. Their is a real need to see and explore their history in this land, immigration and all, in true light., but it is avoided and the young are taught this myth. We are both peoples native of this land, some with more roots than others -of Jews and Arabs. And we both need to open our eyes to this. |
