Title:Sarcastic Fools - You Think Judaism stopped 200 yrs ago?

The idea of combining Torah and Karate was pioneered by an orthodox Jewish man who used to teach Israeli soldiers how to kill efficiently. He developed a school to teach Torah and Karate together - There is NOTHING wrong with this from a halahic point of view. In fact, one could argue that it is an OBLIGATION to be able to defend ourselves against our enemies.

Many laugh at how American Jews create new and interesting ways of expressing and practicing their Judaism. Maybe that`s because they are inherently raised to be creative and free thinkers - not to follow, dress and act exactly like the lemming swimming in front of him/her.

Judaism is NOT static. It did not stop developing or changing 200 years ago. It`s language IS NOT Yiddish. There is NO REAL HALAHIC REASON to have a mehitza on a bus - or G-d forbid - to put women in the back.

It`s amazing how some people are so threatened by other Jewish paths or minhaggim, and face it, that`s what most of these things are.
