The only reason I am involved in what Israel is doing is because I am ashamed of Israel`s treatment of Palestinians and the fact that Israel claims to speak for all Jews while commiting war crimes.
I certainly don`t blame Palestinians living as second class citizens in their native land for boycotting American Jewish Organizations. Given the rightwing nature of mainstream Jewish organizations, and the hatred and bigotry these groups express towards Palestinians, The attitude of indigenous Palestinians is understandable. Perhaps if they had a chance to meet members of the Jewish groups that oppose the occupation of Palestine they might have a different attitude. But their main experience is with groups that back the most extremist rightwing elements in Israeli politics. |
