| I do not understand the hype against Lieberman. Seems to me he is the only honest politician. There is a violent and implacable dispute between Jews and Arabs in this land for over 100 years. If we are finally agreeing to divide the land (neither side happily), then arabs should insist (and be happy) to be (with their villages) in the arab "democratic" state so they have a full expression of their identity and the Jews should be in their state. No reason the Arab state should be judenrein and the Jewish one should have a large disgruntled arab minority always claiming discrimination and rejecing a priori the Jews right to a national expression in their state. Screaming "Racism" is an intellectually dishonest bogeyman used to shut down legitimate debate of a historical dispute between two peoples. Dichter in his liberal fantasyland (one sided, not for Jews in Judea/Samaria) will bring tragedy on both the Arabs and Jews. Its time for rational voices like Lieberman to be heard. |
