the Intelligence reports confirm his opinion.
Intell isn`t normally disseminated to the public. Therefore the release of the NIS report had another purpose. Doesn`t anyone think that Bush knew the report was going to be published at least before the Public became aware of it?
My theory is that the report was either an act of good faith or a part of an agreement of some sort between the US and Iran (brokered by the House of Saud).
Another possibility is that Bush knows that an attack on Iran is out of the question given that his term is almost up and the country is still bogged down in Iraq. The report was perhaps just what he needed. |
