"The most pleasent, cultured, vibrant city in the world.NOTHING COMES EVEN CLOSE." Surely you jest? Paris, Rome, or London are far more cultural meccas that Jerusalem! What are you talking about. Most Jews vote with their feet, most live outside Jerusalem or Israel for that matter.

Don`t get me wrong I love Jerusalem, I love the Arab and Jewish mix in the city, the old Arab men smoking the hooka is a great sight. The Muslim calls to prayer make it exotic. But Jerusalem has NEVER historically or now, been a cultural mecca. Ancient Israel was known for a lot of things, an advanced cultural capital, was not one of them. Rome and Athens was much more than that. Jerusalem is a wonderful city, just not at the level of Paris, Rome or London. Period.

I prefer cities with a wonderful mix of people, like NYC, where you run into Hindus, Seiks, Muslims, Jews, Catholics....London and NYC top the charts for this, for ancient monuments and cultural places, Rome, Madrid, Istanbul.
