I would be more than happy to see posts accepted on the basis of prior registration. I see no need to insist on one using their own name, but would agree that it would be better if posters were not able to hijack others names, (as has happened regularly to Tosefta, Clickfool, Dutch and many others.) Or posting under multiple names, as do certain posters, in order to lend credence to poor arguments. Some ridicule is acceptable, (some arguments deserve it) but gross insults should be eliminated. As opposed to #1`s emphasis on Arab miscreants, I think at least half the offensive posts come from rabid right wingers, glorifying in the blood of their foes.
Won`t happen though. As it is, Haaretz often takes an age to put posts out, such is the lack of manpower allocated to Talk Back. |
