| As usual, the Israeli legitimizes his or her position by comparing its practice to that of an institution in the United States but in this instance, the writer has not kept abreast of developments on the New York Times website which now has talkback on selected articles and opinion articles. While there are some "crackpots" on the HaAretz website, it still serves as a forum for debate, the exchange of opinions, and creating awareness among the readers and commentators that there are different ways to same the issue based on differing philosophies and priorities. People should be encouraged to contribute at all costs, including having the right to maintain their animinity. |
