| Hey I want peace in the region almost as much as you guys do but the other side is talking from both sides of it`s mouth. Any concessions you make (and it`s ALWAYS Israel that is expected to make concessions for some reason) will be taken as fait accompli by the international community while anything the Arabs agree to can be undone without as much as an explanation. Look at who you are dealing with: Hamas has already reneged on promises and official statements of previous governments. What makes you think that Abas is any better? You would sacrifice the one country you have ever had and your Jew-insurance against another Holocaust to return into the left-wing MSM`s good graces? Until the moderates in Gaza and Abas controlled cities speak as loudly as the extremists (and yes, not accepting Israel as a Jewish state is extremist doctrine and goes beyond the pale), let them rot. By all means negotiate but concede nothing until the time is ripe. |
