| "Abbas finally got the message" Sorry, mark L, this is not new cos abbas didn`t cut his ties completely in the 1st place. Time and again, abbas and fatah officials have stated that there are practically no major differences between them and the hamas terrorists. The latest statement was made just last month to a Kuwaiti newspaper. abbas used the tax money released by Israel last July to pay hamas ministers despite his assurance the money was strictly for fatah. abbas`s ONLY condition for recociliation with the terrorists is that hamas "surrender" gaza to fatah. It is NEVER about the terrorists stopping their attacks or recognising Israel. In fact, as a whole, abbas has NEVER condemned the hamas terrorists for their terror acts against Israel. Just like arafat, abbas is playing the 2 headed-snake war game plan - a "moderate" face for the west while retaining informal links with the terrorists. |
