| Belgium is also a Christian country, but every election is held on Sundays!!! So where should every Belgium citizen then have to go to based on your assumption? And no, this is done out of convenience because here every citizen has to vote unless you have a very good reason in that you can`t. The election is thus done on a Sunday because everyone is at home, not at work. You of all people should know that Christians are supposed to be at home on Sundays, yes? Well, that`s the reason why elections in Belgium are held on Sundays, as people do also work on Saturdays, and of course also on Sundays in certain branches of work that can`t be halted on that day, or to keep diversity a high priority because even as Sunday is a Christian day of rest, this is not so for others, even the non-believer, which at the end can benefit the economy as well in certain special instances when possible to create a workable solution. Of course, this is not possible in Israel luckily!!! |
