Dear Morris, If you don`t trust `the Germans` as you say in German (which is on a par with somebody saying "I don`t trust the Jews") even though your `good authority`, i.e. your nephew, assures you otherwise, then this means you don`t trust your nephew. Maybe you want to work out that trust issue of yours? And here a possible solution to your dilemma of whom to trust: why not just book a trip to Germany and construct your own opinion. Your own judgement you can trust, or can`t you? (Here two facts that will maybe shock or assure you: a) people of German heritage make up the largest immigrant group in YOUR country (and who wouldn`t trust Americans) b) ca. a quarter of people in Germany today are of non-German origin) |
