| President Mubarak can have as many talks as he wishes with Ehud Barak. However, what they agree upon is only cosmetic diplomacy. In earlier posts I have mentioned the Deep State, here diplomacy plays no role, has no meaning! The Deep State are the Civil Servants, Chiefs of Police, Military Commanders and our dear friends the Customs Officers. None of the "gentlemen" believe in helping the peace process and will do whatever in their power to sabotage any vague agreements between Mubarak and State of Israel. Musharraf in Pakistan has the same problem, only the Deep State works hand in hand with the Taliban. |
