| Egypt has simply proven to be unreliable and a poor investment - 1) They have colluded with Hamas and other anti-US terrorist groups 2) Mubarak has resisted democratization, is a corrupt military dictator 3) Billions of US aid misspent or stolen 4) Failure of Egypt to support US in ground missions against Iraq (why they got aid in the 1st place) 5) Egyptian collusion in the Darfur genocide 6) Egypt`s nauseating persecution of its Coptic Christian minority (most Americans are Christians, remember?) 7) Egypt`s failure to maintain normalization with Israel, keeping its ambassador home 8) Egypt`s continued voting against the US in the UN BOTTOM LINE: Egypt is a rotten excuse for a US ally, we have better things to do with $1.6 Billion. America is sick of these parasites. |
