| The next election will be over the Bush initiative as it is very likely that Olmert`s government will not be able to withstand pressures for new elections after the release of Winograd II. Olmert is positioning himself as the clear dove candidate. The fact that he too was complicit in a military debacle can be parried by pinning the lion`s share for that debacle on certain military personalities themselves. After all, the IDF was not in the best shape when the war broke out. Even if Olmert loses the reigns of government in the next election, Olmert will secure his political future. |
