| Amir Oren like many Israelis have difficulties with the evolving relationship between their country and the US. They will have to adjust to the fact that with time the Balance in the US governmwnt will shift away from the WASP establishment and towards citizens with African, Asian and Latino background. It is doubtful that when that takes place sympathy towards Israel as a bully and occupier will wane. One must go back towards the period of the border skirmishes (1952-1956)and reread the reports of the UN chief observers. Most of them were hypercritical of Israel who dismissed them as biased and anti-semitic. Well, this old shananigan will not do any more. Sooner or later Israel will have to deliver the goods. |
