Let`s insert some facts into the discussion:
Issawiya is an Arab neighborhood or really a village located northeast of the city center. Jerusalem has grown out to it over time: the suburban French Hill neighborhood is to its north, Hadassah Hospital and the Hebrew University to its south and west. It has always been an Arab village. Arabs are not being forced to live there separate from Jews. Arabs can live in any neighborhood they want in Jerusalem. The overwhelming majority choose to live in neighborhoods or villages, like Issawiya, that were Arab neighborhoods or villages before the creation of the State of Israel and before the city`s 1967 reunification.
